Theme of the Conference

As part of its effort to enlighten participants on essential know-how and intelligence concerning electromobility and autonomous driving technology, the IFERP-appointed organizing committee in charge of conducting its highly anticipated forthcoming conference on Electromobility and Autonomous Driving, has decided that all topics-of-discussion for this conference will revolve around the theme of 'Unravelling The Tremendous Promise Of Electromobility & Autonomous Driving Technologies In Solving All Present & Future Challenges Plaguing Modern-Day Transport & Other Environmental Implications'

In its bid to illuminate participants on why current transport technology that is vastly dependant on fossil fuels as the source of energy, is harming the environment in numerous ways, and how human error causes the loss of millions of lives as a result of road accidents, IFERP will center all its sessions and its list of experts speakers around the proposed theme. As a result of doing so, IFERP hopes to spread awareness of the fact that radical changes will have to take place in the transport industry, to ensure that millions of lives are saved in the future. The manufacturing of cars equipped armed with robots as part of self-driving technology is expected to reach a whopping 800,000 units globally by the year 2030. The industry is currently in need of people with relevant expertise in these areas to meet their production targets. This means that anybody possessing knowledge in electromobility and autonomous driving technology is guaranteed to enjoy a high-paying career if they play their cards right. This conference is the best event for people wishing to enjoy successful careers in these fields.

Objective of the Conference

The sheer negative impact that current fossil-fuel modes of transport, on the environment is evident from -

  • the melting of the polar ice caps,
  • the increase in global temperatures,
  • the rapid rise in ocean levels,
  • the erratic changes in weather patterns causing frequent droughts and floods across the planet,
  • the rapid deforestation and loss of vital species of flora and fauna, and
  • the rapid decline in biodiversity across the planet, to name a few.

Electromobility has proven to be the savior of mankind in such a situation as Electric Vehicles or EVs as they are referred to have been proven to emit as much as 85% less CO2 than what fossil-fuel-based vehicles emit. This clearly implies that moving towards the adoption of Electric Vehicle Technology is in the best interest of mankind and our climate.

The case of Autonomous Driving can be made from the fact that as much as 1.35 million people die each year from road accidents worldwide. These numbers are only getting higher with the increase in the overall global population and the number of cars, trucks, buses, and motor vehicles all over the planet. There are several factors that contribute to these road accidents -

  • reckless driving and over-speeding,
  • drunk driving,
  • loss of concentration and distractions,
  • jumping red lights,
  • flouting of traffic regulations and rules,
  • inappropriate lane jumping and overtaking,
  • not following road etiquette,
  • failure to take safety precautions (not fastening seat belts, not installing airbags.

With all this room for human error, there are very few measures that can be taken to prevent road accidents that are as effective as autonomous driving vehicles (ADVs) or self-driving cars (SDCs).

By organizing its highly anticipated upcoming conference on Electromobility and Autonomous Driving, IFERP hopes to raise critical consciousness amongst participants of this event, about how electromobility and self-driving cars will help mankind in a number of ways by saving lives, our climate and preserve our planet as well its precious natural resources and beauty for the generations to come.
